2002
The Desjardins Auto Group adventure began in 2002 with the acquisition of the dealership Le Salon Ford, renamed Desjardins Ford Ltée and located at 1150, boul. Marcel-Laurin in the Saint-Laurent borough of Montreal.
2003
Building on the experience gained in Montreal, Mr. Desjardins acquired the Ford dealership in Quebec City. Through aggressive marketing and improved customer service, Mr. Desjardins quickly elevated Desjardins Auto Collection in Quebec City to among the top 3 Ford dealerships in Canada and the top 10 Ford dealerships in North America!
2010-2014
Following the acquisition and conversion of the Ste-Foy Saturn dealership into a Ford one by Mr. Desjardins in 2010, a second Ford dealership was established in Quebec City. A third opened in L’Ange-Gardien in 2012. That same year, Mr. Desjardins acquired Acadia Subaru in Quebec City. This was followed in 2014 by the acquisition of Québourg Auto and Longue Pointe Chrysler in Montreal.
2015
2015 marked the opening of the Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Quebec City. Previously combined with Auto Collection, the prestigious brand now has its own dedicated location!
Growth
These successive acquisitions and openings, combined with significant organic growth, have made the Desjardins Auto Group one of the largest dealership networks in Quebec.
Excellence
The Group is now made up of 11 dealerships representing 10 major manufacturers.
2020
The Group acquired a second Volkswagen banner with the purchase of Langlois Volkswagen, which is now L’Ange-Gardien Volkswagen and the Group’s 11th dealership.
2021
The Desjardins Auto Group continues its expansion with the acquisition of Honda Charlesbourg, located in Quebec City, followed by Champlain Chrysler in Verdun, and finally Citadelle Chevrolet in Lévis, bringing the Group’s total to 14 dealerships representing 14 manufacturers.
2022
The Desjardins Auto Group acquires Gravel Acura, located in Montreal, which becomes the Group’s fourth Montreal dealership and its 15th overall.
2023
The Desjardins Auto Group makes a major acquisition by adding the six dealerships of the Samatas Group to its network, a leading Honda group in the Greater Montreal area.
2024
The Desjardins Auto Group acquires Subaru-Montréal, strengthening its presence in the metropolitan area with a total of 11 dealerships now offering vehicles from 4 major brands.
2025
The Desjardins Auto Group acquires Chartrand Ford, 440 Ford Lincoln, as well as Land Rover Brossard, further strengthening its presence in the metropolitan area with a total of 14 dealerships now offering vehicles from 6 major brands.
